JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an intelligence operator at Västervik Prison, you will have a strategic-operational role aimed at improving the assessment of inmates from both a risk and security perspective. You will actively and independently produce intelligence products within your area of responsibility, meet the local needs for operational intelligence activities, and support the central intelligence function.

Your work primarily involves managing materials by collecting, compiling, analyzing, and evaluating information, which you will then communicate to the appropriate party along with recommendations based on your conclusions. You will be part of a team of 3 intelligence operators, where you will work together on assignments at local, regional, and central levels. A significant part of the role therefore involves collaborating with both the local security function and external authorities.

Business trips may occur in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and an interest and commitment to information security as well as security and intelligence issues. You work well with complex issues and take great responsibility for your tasks by organizing and prioritizing your duties effectively. Your decisions are based on conscious trade-offs, and you always act with the best interests of the organization in focus. You have good collaboration skills and understand the importance of good professional relationships in all contexts.

Requirements for the position:

• Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
• Good computer skills and IT knowledge
• Complete upper secondary school competence in the form of final grades or a high school diploma
• Several years of relevant work experience

Meritorious for the position:

• Relevant university education in a social science subject
• Training in intelligence operations
• Well-documented service in an intelligence function
• Experience from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service or another part of the justice system
• Experience of internal and external collaboration and good knowledge of the tasks of collaborating authorities
• Experience working with relational databases
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Other relevant language skills
